Bio:

Lucy taught her first classes, when she was in her late teens, for college students whilst dancing as a hobby at the Pineapple Studios in Covent Garden. However, she rejected a career in fitness, in favour of an artistic career and went on to become an animator and graphic designer for TV.  It was only later in life that she finally came back to dance and fitness, qualified as a teacher and then as a Personal Trainer. She now runs her own successful business the Body Fitness Company and has joined forces with ThinQ Fitness to become their Fitness Director and one of their fitness presenters.

Lucy is passionate about dance and fitness and believes strongly that it should be accessible to everyone.

Join Lucy in the blog to find out a bit about her eating habits as a busy working mum.

Lucy’s Tips:

  • Don’t spend hours in the gym working half-heartedly; work for shorter periods but at a higher intensity.
  • Every morning do 25 press-ups, 50 curls, 50 reverse curls and 60 oblique twists, whatever else happens that day, you will know you have done your abs!!!
  • Avoid all white flour foods.

Description

Lucy takes us through an intermediate advanced workout video which has you exercising upright for the full hour.

The choreography is extremely simple, so a beginner or intermediate participant could work the exercises a bit more lightly, however, in the context of conditioning and fitness this video is an intense hour which will leave you hot, sweaty and invigorated. A good workout.

Equipment:

Just you.

Sample Video:

A short sample video showing the content of the full length workout. If you like the look of this fitness video either join as a member, or register and pay-per-view by clicking on the rent button that appears once you register. You will then be able to access the full length workout.

Hi Joanna, thank you for writing in and apologies for the late reply...hopefully you have found some great classes in the mean time!!! I am impressed you found this easy going, to make any of our classes harder one has to increase effort. This means increasing the range of movement so you really are pulling the knees up high or reaching the arms out fully, also that you jumping higher.....so your adding intensity into your workouts, you can also try adding a light set of weights into your cardio again to increase the effort required to keep up the pace. The workouts I would recommend for that ultimate experience would be Kari McCreaths rebounder class, Sphinx's conditioning, Karen Mason works you hard and Jayne Nichols weights conditioning class (she made look easy) but in fact it was brutal :-)

Hello Lucy, recently discovered your site and I've really been enjoying the classes - so many different things to do, you can't get bored! I'm not new to exercise and I'm chuffed to say I found this class pretty easy going. Can you recommend any classes you think are particularly challenging? I like to work hard! Thanks again, Joanna
